The main attraction at El Yaque Beach is the calm shallow waters of the Caribbean Sea and consistent winds that permit year round windsurfing and kite surfing.

There is little natural shade on Playa El Yaque so plan on renting an umbrella or taking shelter in one of the many restaurants or bars.

If you want to learn to kite surf or windsurf, there are several schools with professional instructors. If you're already an experience windsurfer or kite surfer, you can rent equipment from any of the various establishments on Playa El Yaque.
