We visited this excellent beach side restaurant as part of the Road Unlimited Margarita Island 4X4 Jeep Tour.

El Restaurante Morro Blanco is surrounded by the reddish dirt and scrub vegetation typical of the semi-arid desert climate of the Macanao Peninsula.

Before we sat down to eat lunch, we explored the grounds. Some of the wildlife we saw included a macaw parrot, several small lizards, a green iguana, and a pet white faced capuchin monkey.

We were served our choice of fresh fish, chicken or beef. I chose the fresh fish with white rice, vegetables, coleslaw and hush puppies. Everything tasted very light and delicious.
